This CD is a memory of a concert which I consider one of the best in the history of my Polish band „Orientacja na Orient”. It has been recorded on an audio cassette, so the technical quality cannot be similar do digital recordings or even tape recordings. But I think that this music is worthy to by listened, despite of not highly profssional quality of sound and our imperfections or mistakes, which can always happen during a concert. I these hard times we had yo use instruments of not very good quality, for ex. the saxophone often emited the first sound of a phrase in delay…
I call this kind of music „Orient-jazz” as it combines oriental scales and sounds with jazz rhythms, chords and phrasing.
The song called „New Song” is not complete, as it was the last piece on the audio cassette. The recording has been digitally remastered by Giamaolo Righetti and Adam Potęga. I wish you good listening!
